Visit the Petting Zoo at Gaver Farm's Fall Fun Festival

Just outside Frederick, Gaver Farm offers more than 65 attractions designed for seasonal fun. Hayrides, a corn maze, giant slides, and jumping pillows make for a full, fun day outdoors, while apple, sunflower, and pumpkin picking give visitors the chance to bring a piece of the farm home. The farm’s petting zoo is a highlight: friendly goats, sheep, and other animals are ready for visitors and hand-fed treats. Weekends include live music, guest vendors, and special events throughout the season. The on-site farmers market is also stocked with produce, baked goods, and fall staples.
Feel the Rhythm at Salsa Under the Stars

As the season winds down, there’s still time to dance. Salsa Under the Stars, hosted by the Frederick Arts Council, invites dancers of all levels to enjoy Latin rhythms under the open sky. Each event begins with a beginner-friendly lesson before the music takes over. Beverages are available for those 21 and over, and the atmosphere is welcoming and energetic, the perfect way to spend an evening out in Fredrick.

Summers Farm continues to be a favorite for fall outings. With more than 45 attractions, the property is designed for all ages, from corn cannons and pumpkin blasters to classic hayrides and a kid-friendly play area. Fireworks on select weekends light up the sky, and the locally loved food stands serve seasonal favorites for a casual bite between activities. It’s easy to spend an entire afternoon wandering the grounds or relaxing with a view of the surrounding farmland.
Explore the Exhibits at The Great Frederick Fair

A longstanding local tradition, The Great Frederick Fair draws visitors from across the county and beyond. The week-long event features livestock competitions, 4-H and FFA youth exhibits, home arts displays, and rows of food stalls serving everything from cinnamon buns and crab cakes to funnel cakes and gyros. Rides, games, and daily entertainment, like magic shows, interactive demonstrations, and concerts, keep the schedule packed. This is the best way to see Frederick’s agricultural roots in action.
Discover Historic Downtown at “In the Streets”

Downtown Frederick transforms for one of its largest and most anticipated annual events: “In the Streets.” Since its start in 1983, the festival has expanded to include live performances, food vendors, nonprofit showcases, and interactive exhibits that reflect the diversity and energy of the community. The day begins with the Market Street Mile, continues with live music and activities along Carroll Creek and Market Street, and wraps up with the evening’s Up the Creek Party. The Craft Beverage Experience runs midday and features regional breweries and distilleries.
Learn About Aviation at Frederick Festival of Flight

The Frederick Municipal Airport opens its gates to the public during the Festival of Flight, offering a rare look at the aircraft, businesses, and organizations that operate there. Static displays, in-flight demonstrations, and educational sessions throughout the day make this a standout event for aviation fans and curious visitors alike. Food trucks and local vendors will also be on site to round out the experience.
Raise a Stein at Frederick's Oktoberfest
